Simply the Best has a special one on one interview with Tatay Tom and the new president of MHHS Ching Colobong. They discuss the many challenges and controversies that the society is facing today. Tatay Tom didn’t hesitate to talk about the issues and challenges he faces regarding his intention to stay in the society for whatever length of time he chooses. Ching Colobong talks about her role and her plan to remain as president in the upcoming May 31st election.

It has been 4 years now since I met Tatay Tom Avendano also known as the Father of Multicultural Helping House Society Newcomer Resource Centre before its building expansion. Every year I try my best to talk to Tatay Tom for the wonderful updates and new programs that the society introduced to the newcomers. I am so happy to see that this strong pillar of the house is more passionate than ever to continue the vision and mission of the dream he and his volunteers built out of love.

The Luisa Marshall Band is again ready to ROCK the River Rock Casino’s Lulu’s Lounge on Friday, May 16th and Saturday, May 17th. Luisa and her band were previously at Lulu’s to kick off the first weekend of 2014 on January 3rd & 4th. Both nights were filled to the max with line ups and waiting lists to get in. The dance floor was PACKED for 3 straight sets from 9:00pm to 1:30am!
