So I contacted a friend of mine named Steve Elliott, who also happens to be a very good Elvis impersonator. Jeff has seen him before and truly believes that He Is Elvis.
Well Steve came and sang to Jeff in his room and Jeff was so thrilled (and tired). But Jeff was happy. I thanked Steve and mentioned that if only I could find someone who looked like Tina Turner. Steve mentioned a lady whose work name was "Luisa Marshall". And that she had a website. So I contacted "Luisa's" husband and told him about my Jeff. Well I was stunned, this kind gentleman who did not know me, told me that he would speak to his wife, and that he was sure that she would love to sing to Jeff.
So I left it at that and later that night went to bed so excited that this visit might happen. But what I was not prepared for was how quickly Luisa "Tina" responded to me. The very next morning (early) I had a response on my e-mail telling me how "Tina would absolutely love to sing to my friend Jeff, and that they would be driving all the way from Vancouver to Chilliwack that very day to sing to him. I was thrilled, excited, shocked, and stunned. I did not know who to call first, so I called everyone that worked with Jeff and they were so thrilled. Anyways, "Tina" arrived that night and Jeff was so thrilled that I thought his eyes were going to pop out. You see, he really believes that Tina Turner came and sang to him. Tina sang to Jeff as well as his foster brother who also lives in the same group home with Jeff and who is also dying. Tina sang "Jeff you are simply" the best."
I could hardly contain myself from crying so hard, it was the most wonderful sight that I had ever witnessed in my life. Not only did Tina sing to Jeff, she took her time and spoke to him and this was so thrilling to see. She was so kind and sweet and did not want any thing in return.
Jeff was so high with excitement for days and he still talks about it. I wanted to write just to explain how very kind Luisa and Steve, her husband, are and to thank them with all my heart. Luisa and Steve you are simiply "the best". Your friend always, Stephanie
My hairdresser told me to get the Roxy's band DR STRANGELOVE If Big Night Out weren't available. Following my hair apppointment, I went to the website. I was sold just watching the video. I have to be 100% honest here, and I am very serious when I say that hiring "Big Nite Out" and "Tiny Tina" for our wedding August 31, 2002 was the best decision we made. I have been a dieheart fan of Tina Turner forever, and this was such a fun and incredible opportunity to make our Wedding different and unusual. I did not want to have a "pedestrian" Wedding.. I told my fiance at the time, that I would be willing to "cut" other things we had decided to do, to ensure that we had Big Nite Out and Tiny Tina if that's what it took. Our entire day was magical, our venue, the Pan Pacific went out of their way to ensure that our day was perfect. BNO and Luisa played the first notes live for our first dance, and the mood of the room just took on a whole new dimension. They MADE our Wedding. Not only were they Professional, but they "read" our guests (240 people - all ages) and from the minute they started to play, the dance floor was PACKED !!! It remained such ALL NITE....they were musically tight, sounded incredible and paid attention to detail. They had personality, as well as being highly professional, and I have no reservation whatsoever in recommending them. THEY WERE FUN !!!!! If I were to do it all over again, I can guarantee you that the first call I would make would be to Steve and Luisa. I am attaching herewith a collage, showing a few pics of Tiny Tina. I have albums of the pictures of the band throughout our night, and everytime I look back, I smile. Our Wedding is still talked about, and the number one thing that people talk and RAVE about was our band and Luisa, followed by the food, wine, and everything else. I have been told by many that it was the Wedding of the Century, and they will never have the opportunity of attending one like ours, ever again.
I have one regret.....I have not yet had an opportunity time to hire them again....perhaps this New Years !!
We just moved back to Port Alberni 2 years ago after being away for 20 years. Last night was the first time that we had gotten together with a bunch of our neighbours and went out. We all had a wonderful time. As a matter of fact, we have NEVER had a better time, anywhere!. You were all we talked about late into the evening after the show.
On behalf of our table, I just want to thank you for gracing Port Alberni with your talent.
Your newest fans, Saw your performance in Port Alberni last night and you were absolutely awesome, thank you so much for a wonderful evening. After the show you were kind enough to come and talk to us and we will hopefully see you at the PNE. Thank you again. A devoted Tina fan and now a Luisa fan. Barb (Someone that viewed impersonator Luisa in Port Alberni, What a neat town) Hi Luisa and Steve, I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed your concert. My friend was one of the people in the audience who Luisa came up and said Hi to. He was near the front and in a wheel chair. Although she may not have been able to tell, this really meant a lot to him and to me, as a friend of his, knowing how much he loves Tina.
Luisa
puts on a wonderful show and I'm sure more people would have enjoyed
the evening had they been aware of it. But this is just a big (and
new!) fan of Luisa's speaking here. hahah I mostly just wanted to
tell you how much it meant to my friend that she came up to him and
spoke to him. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening! Hi Louisa Just had to letcha' know what a wonderful performance u gave at the concert on Saturday at the "Central city" pub here in Surrey... My Grandson (who kissed your hand at one time over the handrail and then danced with you on stage) and I were on the front row and you really made our day - thank you so very much - please come back again... (and would you please tell the young lady who was dancing behind you on stage that she also is absolutely fantastic) Sincerely, Barbara Wood (Watched Tina Turner Impersonator Luisa at the Central City Brewing Company, the dancer Barbara mentioned is Odessa Munro) Dear Luisa, What a wonderful evening we had last night watching you sing and dance at the Vancouver Giants hockey game. During your second act you came out to the audience looking for a couple of 'back-up dancers' and as luck would have it chose my friend "Ike" (Gabriel Raymond) and another chap who was also pretty good. Your producer or assistant took a few photographs during this time and I asked him after your performance if it was possible to get a copy to give to Gabriel. You were kind enough to sign a photograph of yourself which you made out to his sons. Just before Christmas the family suffered a terrible tragedy and I have to tell you that dancing with you on stage put a smile on his face that no amount of emotional support from friends and family has been able to replicate. His two sons were also beaming at their Dad from the front of the crowd which was truly wonderful.
Thanks for the great evening, your talent, energy and vitality made a very special evening for us all.
ciao Andrew
Hi Luisa I just checked out your web page again and it's great. I love the story about Oprah and Chicago. When did you put the wig on? I love it! I'm glad things are going so well for you. Again, it was great getting to know you and I hope we get to meet again one of these days. I was very disappointed that they didn't keep you in the Oprah clip - you were terrific and I did notice Tina's surprise when she saw you in the video. You're very good!
Take care Luisa. I am a retired RCMP officer and was at the Regimental Ball in Richmond last evening. You did an excellent job and we truly enjoyed the event because of your energy. All the best. Len Meilleur (Len watched impersonator tribute artist Luisa Marshall at the Richmond RCMP ball) Luisa. Could you please advise me of any venues in Vancouver where Luisa will be performing. I have guests coming from different parts of Canada and would like to take them to a great show. I remember seeing Luisa at Kennedy's a few years ago. Terrific. Thanks for your time. Arlene McCarthy Regional Operations Manager (Arlene seen impersonator Luisa Marshall at Kennedy's in the beggining) Luisa. hi luisa, i saw the nearly neil show at the river rock casino tonight in richmond, bc and it reminded me of you...i saw one of your shows and had a blast! please go to riverrock.com and see if you can perform there...you are great and would love to see you perform soon...can you email me when you are performing in the lower mainland...? thanks sam ms. sam jessa Luisa. Hi Luisa! We are definitely going to be in the crowd applauding what I would call the best tribute to an artist I've ever seen! We enjoyed the show at the Surrey Golf Course so much last spring that we decided immediately that we needed to see your show with your dancers AND your show band. I've seen other people do impersonations, but to actually perform vocally, musically and with full choreography shows so much more talent, hard work and dedication. What venue is the show going to be at? I'm asking so we can get there early enough to get a good spot. Hopefully, we'll get the chance to say, "Hello!" to you sometime at the Fair. Take care, have a great weekend, "break a leg!", and we're looking forward to seeing you! Cheers Luisa!! Art & De'el Harvie (They viewed Impersonator Luisa's show at the Surrey Golf Course) Luisa. Hi there Luisa, I was at the PNE fair on Saturday, and I am a huge fan of Tina Turner, I along with 3 of my close friends watched your performance on were completely amazed with you and your spectacular voice. I thought that it would be nice for you to know that we thought you were an amazing singer as well as an entertainer. You had the crowd up on there feet shaking and moving. I have never seen such a wonderful performance. We also thought your bringing Rick up on stage to sing and dance with you was a crowd pleaser and a great way to interact with the crowd. Just wanted to drop you a line and tell how awesome you are and it is good to know that we have people like you living in our city and doing great things for the community. As you told us about your trip to Europe to sing for the soldiers. There are not enough people like you in the world. I dont expect a reply from you as you probably get thousands of these types of emails. But I know Best of luck to you Luisa (Tina) Stephie McDonald (Stephie watched tina turner impersonator Luisa Marshall at the PNE in 2004) Hi Louisa I watched your show at the PNE on Saturday. I was totally impressed with the way you and your group paid tribute to a great lady. Your singing was awesome and the hotlegs dancers were great. The band did justice to back you up and to replicate the actual sound that Tina sang to was very moving and exhilerating to listen to. I want to thank you and your group for sharing your gifts with us. I pray that you continue to share that special gift you have to share with the world. Many you have continued success in your music journey. Louie Joseph Sr. (Len seen Luisa Marshall impersonator at the PNE) Hi Luisa: Just wanted to let you know a group of us were at the show on Saturday, and just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed it! You are an extradionary talent. I am so glad we went - It looks like you are going to be a very busy girl with that schedule Just wanted to know if you ever get to New Westminster or Coquitlam? I would love to come and see you with you band? . Again thanks for a great show!. Donna Happy Dear Luisa: My daughter and I saw your show on March 3rd at the Langford Legion. You were awesome. I have always wanted to see Tina but unfortunately was never able to, but seeing you was like seeing her. You are unbelievable. The highlight of the night for me was when you motioned for my daughter to join you up on stage for Proud Mary. She was the young girl with the blond hair. Seeing her up there singing and dancing with you was a moment we will never forget. We both love Tina. We hope that you will be coming back to Langford or somewhere in Victoria soon. We will be there. Keep on rocking. Lynn Clark (Lynn came to Luisa's show in Victoria) Hi Luisa: Caught your show today down at the Quay, and I am a HUGE Tina Turner fan, your show was fabulous, I had to remind myself every once in awhile that it was you, and not Tina herself. Your very complimentary to her Thanks for a great show - Sincerely, Carol Coburn (Carol saw Tribute Impersonator Luisa Marshall at the Londsdale Quay) Hi Luisa, my name is Julie, I was at the show on July 3rd at The Quay in NORTH VANCOUVER, with my dad Ed and friends Stephanie, Kacia, Anne, Gary, and Robert, one of the people you choice to dance with... I believe it was to "Disco Inferno" and it was awesome !!!! We saw you first at the P.N.E last summer, and can't wait to see you again on September 3rd at the P.N.E. this year. Our compliments to your Choreographer, Leandro Mendez. The show was kick ass !! All Hail The Queen Of Rock !!!! Peace, Love, And Happiness. o_0 JuLie 0_o (Julie saw Tina Turner Celebrity Impersonator Luisa Marshall at the Londsdale Quay) Hello. I saw Ms. Marshall's performance 4 years ago when I was living in Vancouver. She was performing at the Royal Pub on 2 different occasions that year. It was a truly unforgettable performance, and I was wondering if she has plans to travel the country to perform in other regions of Canada. I now live in Montreal, and I am certain she would be a huge success here! My other question is, aside from the schedule that is posted on the web site, does she perform on a regular basis, such as she did at the Royal Pub, that is not published on her website? I ask because I would be interested in seeing her performance the next time I travel to Vancouver! Regards, Grant Auer (Grant saw Tina Turner Celebrity Impersonator Luisa Marshall at the Royal Pub) Hello. found this web page by google using" Luisa Marshall Tina Turner". I just came from Luisa's concert in Courtenay B.C.
